An SMP procedure typically takes 2-4 hours per session, depending on the degree of hair loss or scarring.

SMP is non- invasive and requires no downtime. You will likely not need extended time away from work, school, or other functions. After the procedure, it is common to notice slight redness on the scalp for 2-3 days post-session. This redness subsides quickly, and most clients return to work immediately or within a few days.

For most clients, the pain is minimal, and it's consistently less painful than traditional tattoos. See the pain scale (see below). The process usually ranks in the 1-3 range.

1. No Chemicals: Avoid any Hair products for

the first 4-5 days after the procedure. This

allows the pigment to settle.

2. Gentle Cleansing: When it's time to clean

your scalp, use a gentle, sulfate-free

shampoo and lukewarm water. Pat your

scalp dry; don't rub. Follow w/ (aquaphor)

3. Avoid Sun Exposure: Protect your scalp

from direct sunlight for at least a month

after SMP. Use a wide-brimmed hat or

sunscreen if necessary.

4. Avoid Sweating: Minimize strenuous

exercise and sweating for the first week to

prevent pigment displacement.

5. No Swimming: Avoid swimming pools, hot

tubs, and saunas for a couple of weeks post-

SMP, as chlorine and excess moisture can affect the pigments.
